England defender Gary Cahill insists that the Three Lions will not treat their meeting with Germany as just a friendly with less than three months before Euro 2016.

England defender Gary Cahill has admitted that the Three Lions are keen to continue their recent run of form when they face Germany in Berlin on Saturday night.

Roy Hodgson's men suffered defeat in Spain late last year, but aside from that result, they have impressed since failing to win any of their three fixtures at the 2014 World Cup.

Chelsea defender Cahill has been named as captain for tomorrow's friendly international, and he has suggested that he and his teammates will be taking the game seriously with less than three months remaining until Euro 2016.

The 30-year-old told reporters: "We know ourselves that it is a friendly game but there are no friendly games when you pull on an England shirt. You want to do your best and get victories playing the right way but we know that we are going to be judged as well.

"We just want to keep going like we have been, and hopefully that is good enough. It's not the be all and end all but it's another great test and one that we are all looking forward to."

England are also scheduled to face the Netherlands at Wembley on Tuesday night.
