Spanish attacker Pedro Leon departs relegated Getafe to join Eibar on a two-year contract.

Former Real Madrid midfielder Pedro Leon has swapped Getafe for Eibar in this summer's transfer window.

The 29-year-old joined Getafe from Real Madrid in 2011, initially on loan, before making the deal permanent in 2013.

Leon was appointed captain during his time at the capital outfit, but had a strained relationship with the club last season and has now departed following Getafe's relegation from Spain's top flight at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.

"I have tried to give everything of myself in these colours to make you as proud as I am of this club. I would like to have said goodbye in other circumstances," Leon said in a statement.

Leon leaves Getafe having scored 18 times in 135 appearances for the Spanish club.
