A report claims that Crystal Palace want to sign Sevilla defender Adil Rami in this summer's transfer window.

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla defender Adil Rami in this summer's transfer window.

Palace were said to be desperate to sign Mamadou Sakho on a permanent deal from Liverpool following a successful loan spell in the second half of last season, but it is understood that the Eagles have been priced out of a move.

New Palace boss Frank de Boer is said to want at least two new centre-backs ahead of the 2017-18 campaign, and according to L'Equipe, the Dutchman is preparing to move for Frenchman Rami.

Rami, who joined Sevilla from AC Milan in the summer of 2015, made 31 appearances in all competitions last season, while he still has two years left on his contract at the Estadio Ramon.

Earlier this year, the 33-time France international talked up the possibility of joining Marseille in this summer's transfer window.
