Crystal Palace are open to parting ways with Christian Benteke during the January transfer window after concluding a deal for Jean-Philippe Mateta.

Crystal Palace are reportedly open to selling Christian Benteke before the end of the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old has been a regular in the Palace first-team squad this season, scoring three goals from his seven starts and six substitute outings.

However, the Eagles have moved to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta from Mainz 05, a deal which has effectively led to the Belgium international dropping down the pecking order.

According to the Daily Mail, club officials are willing to listen to any offers for the 30-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer.

Benteke is said to be open to seeing out the campaign at Selhurst Park before leaving on a free transfer.

Nevertheless, West Bromwich Albion are allegedly contemplating whether to make an approach for the target man before the end of the month.
