Juventus are eight points ahead at the top.

Napoli lost further ground on Serie A leaders Juventus after they could only manage a goalless draw at home to bottom club Chievo.

Jose Callejon had the best chance of a quiet first half in the 43rd minute, forcing a fine save from Stefano Sorrentino at the end of a swift counter-attack.

Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne were also denied by the veteran goalkeeper early in the second half, while the latter saw a shot on the turn come back off a post with 14 minutes remaining.

The draw took rock-bottom Chievo on to one point having started the campaign on minus three after being found guilty of accounting irregularities.

Joaquin Correa scored deep into stoppage time to snatch Lazio a point from a 1-1 draw with AC Milan at Stadio Olimpico.

Milan's Hakan Calhanoglu saw an effort deflect against a post in the first half, while Lazio had a goal ruled out for offside.

Wallace was denied by a superb save from visiting goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 71st minute but shortly afterwards the Brazilian defender deflected Franck Kessie's shot past Thomas Strakosha to put Milan in front.

That had looked to be enough until the fourth minute of time added on when Correa controlled the ball on his knee and fired into the bottom corner.

The derby clash between Genoa and Sampdoria ended all square.

It took just eight minutes for Fabio Quagliarella to head in the opening goal for Sampdoria, but Genoa equalised from the penalty spot nine minutes later.

Krzysztof Piatek was tripped by goalkeeper Emil Audero and the Polish striker stepped up to score.

Genoa manager Ivan Juric was sent to the stand for showing dissent towards the fourth official with 15 minutes left but the game ended 1-1.

Gervinho's fifth goal of the season and a first for Bruno Alves earned Parma a 2-1 Emilia derby win against Sassuolo in the early-kick-off.

Khouma Babacar pulled a goal back for the visitors from the penalty spot before half-time.

Empoli came from 2-0 down to snatch a 3-2 victory against Atalanta at Stadio Carlo Castellani and move out of the relegation zone.

Two goals in six minutes from Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler and full-back Hans Hateboer put Atalanta firmly in control but striker Antonino La Gumina's strike just before the break offered Empoli hope.

La Gumina turned in a cross from Manuel Pasqual to equalise and they snatched an unlikely winner four minutes from time when defender Matias Silvestre headed home from a corner.

Bologna and Fiorentina played out a goalless draw, with winger Riccardo Orsolini having the home side's best chance and Giovanni Simeone going close for La Viola.
