Chelsea have been forced to turn to either Alvaro Morata or Andrea Belotti after being snubbed by Manchester United-bound striker Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.

Premier League champions Chelsea will reportedly go all out to sign either Alvaro Morata or Andrea Belotti this summer after missing out on top target Romelu Lukaku.

The Blues were the strong favourites to land their former striker in a big-money deal from Everton, only for Manchester United to get there first with a £75m offer.

United are expected to wrap up a move for the Belgian in the coming days, leaving Chelsea on the lookout for another option as they look to replace Atletico Madrid target Diego Costa.

According to The Independent, Real Madrid forward Morata - previously United's first choice - is the man the Blues will go after, while Belotti of Torino is another potential option.

It is claimed that Chelsea have not completely given up hope of hijacking the Red Devils' move for Lukaku, but boss Antonio Conte has been left unhappy by the slow manner of his side's business and they are expected to now quickly move on.

The West London outfit have so far brought in just Willy Caballero on a free contract this summer, although deals for Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger are understood to be close to completion.
