Norwich City are reportedly in talks with Chelsea over signing teenage defender Jake Clarke-Salter on loan for the 2017-18 Championship season.

Norwich City have entered talks with Chelsea over a loan move for young defender Jake Clarke-Salter, according to reports.

The 19-year-old spent last season away on loan as he turned out 12 times in League One for Bristol Rovers, though his spell at the Memorial Stadium was hampered by injury.

Antonio Conte has taken Clarke-Salter on tour with the rest of the Chelsea squad to the Far East, but is reportedly expected to sanction another loan move for the teenager.

According to The Sun, Canaries manager Daniel Farke has earmarked the youngster as a key signing as he bids to mould a Championship promotion-winning team.

Clarke-Salter has made one Premier League appearance for Chelsea, against Stoke City in March 2016, and was part of the England Under-20s squad that won the World Cup last month.
