Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso hints that he could leave Stamford Bridge this summer amid reports of interest from Spain.

Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso has hinted that he could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

The 28-year-old scored twice and registered six assists in 31 Premier League appearances for Chelsea during the 2018-19 campaign.

The full-back only penned a new long-term deal with the Blues in the latter stages of 2018 but Atletico Madrid have recently been linked with a swoop.

Alonso has said that he is "very happy" at Stamford Bridge but refused to rule out a summer exit.

"I am very happy here but we will see what happens this summer. There is always talk [like this]. Is it a compliment? Yes. It means I'm doing well if other teams are trying to get in touch," Alonso told the London Evening Standard.

"But first of all I'm focusing on the final. I am very happy to have four more years here and hopefully I will stay many more years here."

Alonso, who is a three-time Spain international, is currently with the Chelsea squad preparing for the Europa League final against Arsenal on May 29.
