Liverpool will reportedly go head to head with Chelsea to sign title-winning Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater this summer.

Liverpool and Chelsea have both reportedly set their sights on signing Danny Drinkwater from Leicester City this summer.

Drinkwater, 26, has been a mainstay in Leicester's midfield this season and helped the Foxes to an unlikely first top-flight title triumph.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, both Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in offering a glamorous move and will try to tempt him away this summer.

The former Manchester United midfielder, who earned an international call-up with England earlier this year, has two years left on his current Leicester contract.
