Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed that he wants to return to Serie A before hanging up his boots.

Jorginho joined Chelsea from Napoli during the summer transfer window, and the 26-year-old has impressed during the early stages of his career in the English game.

The Italy international penned a five-year contract upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge, but is seemingly already planning for his next move, and has claimed that he is 'hopeful' of returning to Serie A.

"There were various things behind my departure from Napoli," Jorginho told reporters. "The will of just one party is not enough. Serie A will always be one of the best leagues in the world. I hope to go back one day."

Jorginho followed Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge, with the midfielder believed to have turned down Manchester City to join his former manager in England.

The Italian has scored once in five appearances for the Blues this term.
