Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez as a replacement for Asmir Begovic.

AC Milan goalkeeper Diego Lopez has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea.

Lopez has spent the last two seasons at San Siro but in October, he lost his place to teenage stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma and the 34-year-old has not made an appearance since his relegation to the bench.

According to the Daily Mail, that could see Chelsea try to tempt the 34-year-old to Stamford Bridge as a possible replacement for Asmir Begovic.

The former Stoke City goalkeeper made 25 appearances for the Blues last season but many of those outings came when Thibaut Courtois was sidelined with a knee injury.

He played five times during the closing weeks of the campaign but the Bosnian international has been linked with a transfer to Everton.
