Chelsea are reportedly considering a swoop for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater.

Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a potential move for Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater.

The Premier League champions took time to kickstart their transfer spending this summer, but they have so far recruited Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.

It seems as though the Blues are not finished yet as they are now pondering a swoop for Drinkwater, according to Sky Sports News.

The broadcaster claims that the 27-year-old, who won the league title with the Foxes in the 2015-16 campaign, is one of a handful of midfielders that Chelsea are keeping tabs on.

At the moment, Leicester are reportedly unwilling to sell the England international, who signed a contract until 2021 at the King Power Stadium in August last year.

Since getting promoted to the top flight in 2014, Drinkwater, who joined the Foxes from Manchester United five years ago, has made 87 league appearances.
