Chelsea are reportedly mulling over a move for Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku, who appears to have committed his future to Everton.

Chelsea have identified Juventus striker Mario Mandzukic as a potential transfer target, according to reports.

With former Blues forward Romelu Lukaku appearing to have committed his future to Everton, Antonio Conte is said to be looking for an alternative to the Belgium international.

According to ESPN, former Juve boss Conte is looking to prise Mandzukic away from Turin for around £25m - a fraction of the price that Chelsea were said to be looking to pay for Lukaku.

The Croatian started the Bianconeri's 2-1 victory over Fiorentina on Saturday night but was substituted on 66 minutes for new arrival and eventual match-winner Gonzalo Higuain.
