Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino reportedly holds positive talks with chairman Daniel Levy amid speculation over his future at the club.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly held positive talks with chairman Daniel Levy amid growing speculation regarding his future at the club.

Pochettino refused to commit his long-term future to the North London outfit in the closing weeks of the season, suggesting that he would consider leaving if Levy failed to match his ambition in the transfer market.

The Argentine is understood to want a £150m overhaul of his squad ahead of their first season in their new stadium, as well as beginning their business earlier than in recent years.

The Telegraph reports that initial discussions between Pochettino and Levy have gone well, with further talks planned for the coming weeks.

Levy wants Pochettino to extend his contract by a further 12 months, which would tie the 46-year-old to the club until 2022.

Chelsea had been credited with an interest in coaxing Pochettino to Stamford Bridge as a replacement for Antonio Conte, but the FA Cup champions are no longer hopeful of their chances.
