Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink says that he is "satisfied" with the job he has done during his interim spell in charge of the club.

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has said that he is "satisfied" with his performance since arriving at the club as interim manager in December.

Hiddink took over at Stamford Bridge with Chelsea sitting just one point above the relegation zone following a disastrous start to their Premier League title defence under Jose Mourinho.

The Dutchman has since steadied the ship and steered the Blues into the top half of the table, in addition to reaching the last 16 of the Champions League and the FA Cup quarter-finals, although he has only overseen one home league victory during that spell.

"I'm not easily happy about myself. I came here in difficult circumstances. It's easy for me to say, 'Ah it's the past...' [but] I'm not a person to blame," Hiddink told reporters.

"I had to restore the confidence and more in this team and club. It's difficult to give a figure (out of 10). I'm happy the team reacted when we were in a desperate situation, when people in this house started sweating, because there are experiences in the past where big clubs can go down as well.

"From there on I'm satisfied with the reaction of the team. [But] I would've loved to have gone into the next round of Champions League and the FA Cup final - if that had happened I would give myself a 10 plus."
