Borussia Dortmund loanee Michy Batshuayi says that sitting on the bench for Chelsea was "quite difficult to deal with" and hints that he could leave permanently.

Michy Batshuayi has admitted his frustration at being regularly overlooked for selection at Chelsea before being sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund.

The Belgium international was used as nothing more than a fringe player during his first 18 months at Stamford Bridge, starting a combined four Premier League games.

Batshuayi has had no trouble settling into life at Dortmund, however, having scored five goals in three games since arriving on deadline day last month.

Speaking to Sporza about his time at Chelsea, the 24-year-old said: "I did not have a good time there, but I'm doing well here and I've been well received by my colleagues and supporters.

"Sitting on the bench, scoring a goal and then being back on the bench is quite difficult to deal with for an attacker. As a young player, you need a lot of playing time to evolve. It's perfect here, and I'm trusted by everyone.

"I don't know [if Antonio Conte has been watching]. They are concentrating on the Premier League and have an important Champions League tie next week.

"I hope it turns out well for them. I'm not thinking about [returning]. For me, it's important to perform well for Borussia Dortmund in every match. I'll deal with the situation as it comes."

Batshuayi managed 10 goals in 24 appearances for Chelsea this term before being farmed out.
