Chelsea manager Antonio Conte insists that his side will give the EFL Cup their "best" effort this season.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has insisted that his side will give their all in the EFL Cup when they welcome Nottingham Forest tomorrow evening.

The Blues are competing on four fronts this season following their return to the Champions League and, having played out a goalless draw against Arsenal on Sunday, face Stoke City this Saturday ahead of tough games with Atletico Madrid in Europe and Manchester City in the league.

While the Italian has indicated that he will give youth players a run-out tomorrow night, he has also confirmed that Eden Hazard will start against Championship Forest at Stamford Bridge.

"It is one of the four competitions and for this reason we have to try our best," he told reporters. "We are going to play. We know very well in England it is not very easy to face four competitions but we are going to try our best.

"Tomorrow is a good opportunity to give a chance to some players who maybe did not play a lot. For sure, we want to try to win. We want to go to the next round. But it is the same for Nottingham Forest.

"We are talking about a great club [with Forest] and a great history in England. I remember that in the past Nottingham Forest played also in the Champions League and was once the most important club in England.

"We have a great respect for this club. I watched a lot of games and they play good football. We must pay great attention tomorrow."

Chelsea have won the EFL Cup - formerly the League Cup - five times, most recently lifting the trophy in the 2014-15 season.
