How Chelsea could line up against Leicester City

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up for Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Chelsea will put their Champions League charge on hold for the weekend when they face fellow top-four dwellers Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Frank Lampard's side moved to within one point of the third-placed Foxes with a a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night - a result which officially ended City's title defence as Liverpool were crowned champions.

Chelsea must now turn their attention to their last realistic chance of silverware this season as they look to lift the FA Cup for a ninth time and a second in the last three seasons.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Blues could line up for the contest.

Lampard is expected to make a number of changes for this match as he looks to keep his squad fresh for the top-four chase too, although the strength in depth at his disposal means that he is still able to name a strong XI.

Jorginho was available again on Thursday following suspension but was left on the bench throughout, so he will expect to play his first match since March here.

Billy Gilmour and Mateo Kovacic will also be hoping to return to the side in midfield, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek could make only his second start in more than a year as he continues to build his way up to full fitness following a lengthy injury.

Tammy Abraham has found himself behind Olivier Giroud in the pecking order since the return and this cup game should give him a chance to remind Lampard of what he can do.

The departing Pedro could get what may be his farewell appearance having agreed to join Roma at the end of the season, although Lampard could also be tempted to keep Willian in the XI considering his FA Cup record.

The Brazilian has scored 11 FA Cup goals and created five more since making his debut in the competition in 2014, directly contributing to more goals than any other Chelsea player in that time.

There could also be numerous changes at the back with Reece James, Emerson Palmieri and Kurt Zouma hopeful of chances, while cup goalkeeper Willy Caballero is expected to come in for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Fikayo Tomori and Marco van Ginkel, the latter of whom has just signed a new contract at the club despite not playing a game for them since 2013, are both sidelined, while Callum Hudson-Odoi is again a doubt with an ankle problem.
