Chelsea have booked their place in the Europa League last 16 with a 3-0 win over Malmo on Thursday night.

The Blues held a 2-1 advantage after the first leg, and Malmo managed to remain in the tie by reaching the break on level terms.

However, second-half goals from Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi earned the Blues a comfortable victory in West London.

Find out how all of the action unfolded at Stamford Bridge courtesy of Sports Mole's minute-by-minute updates below.

Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match in the Europa League between Chelsea and Malmo. The Blues hold a 2-1 advantage heading into the second leg of this last-32 tie, but Maurizio Sarri is under pressure at Stamford Bridge and defeat may lead to his dismissal becoming inevitable. The two teams are making their way out, so let's see who features in each starting lineup...

CHELSEA XI: Caballero; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Christensen, Palmieri; Kante, Kovacic, Barkley; Willian, Giroud, Hudson-Odoi

MALMO XI: Dahlin; Vindheim, Nielsen, Bengtsson, Safari; Traustason, Christiansen, Bachirou, Rieks; Antonsson, Rosenberg

KICKOFF:  Chelsea get us underway!

CHANCE!  It had been a fairly quiet start at Stamford Bridge, but the first chance of the game has gone the way of the visitors with Bengtsson heading marginally over the crossbar with a towering header.

Malmo are only encouraged from that early opportunity, and you can already sense the nerves in the Chelsea team and in the stands.

CHANCE!  Much better from the hosts as Hudson-Odoi tees up Kante to cross for Giroud, but the forward heads over the bar from around 12 yards out.

That opening got the Chelsea fans on their feet, and they are at least more vocal than they were at the beginning of the contest. Malmo remain a threat on the break.

SHOT!  A long throw causes problems in the Chelsea penalty area, and Traustason volleys wide of the far post after the ball had fallen invitingly for him.

Caballero does not comfortable at all when the ball is played back to him. Malmo are pressing extremely effectively, and Chelsea have only just avoided making a mistake on a couple of occasions.

SHOT!  Hudson-Odoi makes a mistake in his own defensive third and it leads to a chance for Rosenberg, who drags a low effort marginally wide of the far post. Malmo are the better team here.

Chelsea need to get their foot on the ball because Malmo are suggesting that they are relishing the opportunity to cause a shock at Stamford Bridge.

YELLOW CARD!  Barkley is the first player to be booked this evening after bringing a Malmo counter-attack to an end on the halfway line.

SHOT!  Hudson-Odoi does well as he cuts inside towards the edge of the penalty area before teeing up Barkley, but the midfielder fires a weak shot at Dahlin.

We are close to reaching the end of the opening quarter and the best thing which you can say about Chelsea is that they remain ahead on aggregate. Malmo look composed on the big stage.

The visitors have just had another threatening break down the right-hand side, but Chelsea were able to deal with the danger. At the other end, Giroud has barely had a kick.

It has also not been Hudson-Odoi's night so far. I would go as far as saying it is his worst showing in a Chelsea shirt with the youngster struggling to get the better of Safari.

The home supporters are now trying to give their side some encouragement. They are been treated to another below-par display, but they recognise the importance of this game in the context of their season.

Better from the Blues as Willian and Giroud link up down the left, but the former's cross cannot find a teammate. In all fairness, there was not much support.

YELLOW CARD!  Hudson-Odoi has been much, much better over the past couple of minutes, and the winger draws a foul out of Safari when attempting to break down the right. The referee dishes out a deserved yellow card.

CHANCE!  Chelsea have gone up a couple of gears but a low cross from Willian is not turned in by Azpilicueta at the near post. The right-back was under a lot of pressure from Malmo defenders.

The home side win a free kick on the left and a driven pass finds Giroud all on his own. However, the Frenchman cannot find a teammate and Malmo are able to clear.

Hudson-Odoi is really starting to shine now. The youngster has just won the ball and sprayed a 40-yard pass cross-field to Willian. The crowd liked that.

Chelsea have bossed the last 10 minutes but they still do not have a goal to show for it. Malmo are content to be watchful, but more pressing cannot be far away.

SHOT!  Giroud and Barkley link up well on the edge of the area and the latter has the chance to thread the ball through to his teammate. However, the Englishman takes the shot on from distance and Dahlin saves low down to his right.

Chelsea must have had about 80% of the ball over the past quarter-of-an-hour. Malmo are definitely managing their fitness levels given that they require two goals to have a chance of progress.

YELLOW CARD!  Rosenberg swipes at Kovacic's knee with his boot and the Swede is fortunate to be handed just a yellow card.

HALF TIME:  Chelsea 0-0 Malmo

The half-time whistle goes at Stamford Bridge and we remain goalless. Malmo started the stronger of the two sides, but Chelsea have warmed into the game. The Blues still hold a 2-1 lead on aggregate.

Miss the game which featured Arsenal and BATE Borisov earlier today? Don't worry. We have you covered. You can read our on-the-whistle match report by clicking here.

KICKOFF:  Malmo get us back underway.

Both teams have shown some ambition since the restart, but an attack from either side has not resulted in a chance.

Malmo win a corner after a counter-attack, and it takes a timely header from Palmieri at the back post to clear the danger.

YELLOW CARD!  Christiansen is the third Malmo player to go into the book for a cynical foul on Palmieri.

YELLOW CARD!  Bengtsson follows his teammate in being given a yellow card for a crude tackle on Kovacic.

There are a few signs that Malmo are beginning to get frustrated. I'm not sure why because they are still having their moments in this game, although the second half is yet to feature much goalmouth action.

GOAL!  Chelsea 1-0 Malmo (Olivier Giroud)

Chelsea make the breakthrough! Kante wins the ball in midfield and plays in Willian, who sends a low cross into the middle for Giroud to tap home from close range.

Giroud now has six goals to his name in this competition since the start of September. He may not be favoured on the domestic front, but the forward is doing a job for the Blues in Europe.

We are going to have a break in play while a Malmo player receives treatment on the touchline. It has not come at a bad time for the Swedish side, who are now beginning to get outclassed.

SUBSTITUTION! Malmo are being forced into a change with Strandberg coming on for the injured Rosenberg.

Chelsea are still going in search of a second goal which would all but wrap up the tie, but they cannot get close to the Malmo goal with the Swedes pushing up.

We have not seen much of Hudson-Odoi in this second half, although this game has still proven to be a learning experience for the 18-year-old. Malmo are doubling up on him, unlike in the first half.

It is reaching that point where Sarri usually makes changes, but there is no need to introduce his big-hitters. It remains to be seen whether the likes of Ampadu and Loftus-Cheek will be given any game time.

Malmo show a bit more ambition than they have done for the past 15 minutes, but Chelsea see off the danger down the right flank.

SUBSTITUTION! Malmo make their final two changes, with Gall and Lewicki replacing Christiansen and Traustason.

RED CARD!  Palmieri has posed a threat going forward and the Italian wins a free kick on the edge of the area. Bengtsson made the challenge and it was a desperate one. It's a deserved second yellow.

GOAL!  Chelsea 2-0 Malmo (Ross Barkley)

Barkley pulls rank over the set piece, and proceeds to curl a delightful effort into the top corner from 20 yards. Tie over.

SUBSTITUTIONS! It is time for two Chelsea changes. Jorginho and Loftus-Cheek are being introduced for Kante and Barkley.

Both teams are going through the motions now. Ampadu is going to be introduced shortly.

SUBSTITUTION! The Welsh youngster is coming on for Azpilicueta and will play at right-back.

I don't expect much action during these closing nine minutes. Chelsea will already be looking towards the weekend where they take on Manchester City in the EFL Cup final. Malmo are going through pre-season and may not have the legs to continue to push forward at will.

Chelsea now have Ampadu, Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi on the pitch. It is a rare sight...

GOAL!  Chelsea 3-0 Malmo (Callum Hudson-Odoi)

A goal for Hudson-Odoi caps the perfect night for Chelsea. A long raking pass from Willian finds Hudson-Odoi out on the right and after running at the defender, the youngster drills a low shot into the far corner from 12 yards out.

This result won't count for much in the long run, but Sarri will at least be satisfied that his side have returned to winning ways ahead of facing Manchester City.

Willian has a chance to take a free kick from a similar spot to Barkley, but the Brazilian's low shot is blocked.

There will be three minutes of added-on time.

CHANCE!  Loftus-Cheek almost adds a fourth for Chelsea after a neat turn in the area, but Dahlin stays big to make an excellent block.

FULL TIME:  Chelsea 3-0 Malmo

The full-time whistle goes at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea have moved into the last 16 with a comfortable 5-1 aggregate success over Malmo, with goals from Giroud, Barkley and Hudson-Odoi getting the job done for the Blues this evening.

That will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us tonight and we hope to see you again soon.
