How Chelsea could line up against PAOK

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up on Thursday evening as they welcome PAOK to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea require just a point from their home meeting with Greek Super League leaders PAOK to secure top spot in their Europa League group.

The Blues have won four out of four so far in Group L, including a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture on matchday one, and are already assured of a place in the last 32 of the competition.

After slipping up in the Premier League with just three wins from their last eight matches, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri must now decide whether to continue with his rotation policy in Europe or prioritise a victory on Thursday night to regain some momentum.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Premier League giants could line up at Stamford Bridge.

POSSIBLE CHE XI VS. POK

Doubtful: Eden Hazard (ankle), Ethan Ampadu (knock)

Hazard was carrying an ankle injury in the 3-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur and Ampadu, who has yet to feature under Sarri, is also nursing a knock, so both men appear certain to miss out on a place in the squad on Thursday.

The Europa League has given the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Ruben Loftus-Cheek a chance to get some minutes on the field this term, with the latter netting a hat-trick against BATE Borisov last month, and both men are expected to return to the fold this week.

Emerson Palmieri and Davide Zappacosta have also featured heavily in Chelsea's European campaign, as have Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen, the latter being used in every minute so far.

Summer signing Kepa Arrizabalaga is in contention to start, but Sarri is more likely to give Willy Caballero a rare run-out, which could leave Willian as the only survivor from the defeat at Wembley.
