Roma striker Edin Dzeko claims that he is "not interested in money", three months on from seeing a move to Chelsea collapse.

Roma striker Edin Dzeko has admitted that he is "happy" to still be at the club after playing a key part in the famous Champions League win against Barcelona.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international saw a move to Chelsea collapse in the winter window as the Premier League champions were unwilling to meet his asking price.

Dzeko has now written his name in Roma folklore with his goals in both legs of the Italian outfit's 4-4 away goals win over Barca, as they recovered from three down to progress through to the semi-finals against all the odds.

"Now I can play in the semi-final too," he told Mediaset. "I'm not interested in money. It was not easy, but I stayed here for this kind of game. I'm happy and I think the club are too.

"You cannot imagine, I mean it was incredible, crazy - I don't know how to describe it. At the end, we did it when definitely nobody believed in us. Obviously, we had to believe, even before the game.

"If we wanted to try something, we knew that we were playing against one of the biggest teams and obviously the first goal helped us a lot, pushed us forward even more with our great fans behind us. We did it all together."

Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas were also on target for Roma on a memorable night at the Stadio Olimpico.
