Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso reveals that he is relishing the "special" clash between the Blues and Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso has revealed that he is relishing the "special" clash between the Blues and Barcelona at Camp Nou on Wednesday night.

Alonso, whose father spent five years with the Catalan giants, will be making his first trip to the stadium as a player in the midweek return leg.

The Spaniard told the Daily Mail that he is hoping that his side can "play our game" as they look to score a crucial away goal, having drawn 1-1 at Stamford Bridge.

"It will be very special for me," Alonso said. "I played for Real Madrid many years and yet it is my first time in Nou Camp. Hopefully we will play our game. We have to score a goal and so we have to go for it. We know we have to play the perfect game.

"I grew up with football in my house. After playing my father used to coach, we used to follow him around Spain. We used to travel with him to many cities. 24 hours a day football was a topic at home. I've always loved to play the game."

Chelsea's match with Barcelona is followed by an FA Cup tie with Leicester City on Sunday.
