Celtic have announced the signing of Colin Kazim-Richards from Feyenoord on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

The 29-year-old, who has previously played for Brighton & Hove Albion, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers, got through just six months of his contract after signing for the Dutch club in the summer following a loan spell.

Kazim-Richards, who has racked up almost 40 international caps for Turkey, leaves Feyenoord on a sour note as he was recently suspended for two weeks after threatening a journalist.

The striker's arrival is the second of the day following the acquisition of Manchester City teenager Patrick Roberts on an 18-month loan deal.

Patrick Roberts of Fulham is tracked by Pablo Zabaleta of Manchester City during the Barclays Premier League match between Manchester City and Fulham at Etihad Stadium on March 22, 2014
