Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton says that his team 'did not deserve to lose' Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has insisted that his team 'did not deserve to lose' Saturday's Premier League clash with Leicester City at the Amex.

Glenn Murray saw his 77th-minute penalty saved by Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel before Vicente Iborra and Jamie Vardy scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure a 2-0 victory for the Foxes.

"It's hugely disappointing and a game that we didn't deserve to lose," Hughton told Sky Sports News.

"They got a bit of momentum after the penalty and that gets them the first goal. It was up to us to regroup again and look to get that goal or not to concede, and unfortunately we did. It's a very unfair scoreline but that's the game and it can hurt you."

The result has left Brighton in 13th position in the Premier League table ahead of their home game against fellow relegation candidates Huddersfield Town next weekend.
