Chris Hughton has reiterated that Premier League survival remains Brighton & Hove Albion's top priority but admits that beating Manchester United in the FA Cup would be "wonderful".
The Seagulls, currently 11th in the table, travel to Old Trafford for Saturday's quarter-final encounter on the back of three wins from the last five league games.
Despite United coming under criticism following their midweek exit from the Champions League, Hughton still feels that his players will have to be at their very best if they are to triumph.
"To go through would be wonderful for this club - there is no doubt about that," the 59-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying.
"It's a big task. We know that United will be clear favourites. We will have to have a very good day and United not such a good day to get anything from the game.
"We all know that the biggest priority for this football club is to make sure that we're playing Premier League football next season, but the two are very separate.
"This is important for us, but we certainly see the two separate. You arrive at Old Trafford on Saturday and the only thing on your mind is about trying to get through, of course, to the next round."
Brighton took on United in the 1983 FA Cup final and held the Red Devils to a 2-2 draw, forcing a replay five days later which was won 4-0 by Ron Atkinson's men.
