Tuesday's Championship predictions including Brentford vs. Charlton Athletic

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Tuesday's Championship action including Brentford vs. Charlton and Nottingham Forest vs. Fulham.

Nottingham Forest and Fulham square off at the City Ground on Tuesday evening with both clubs having strengthened their position in the Championship playoffs over the weekend.

While Forest maintained a seven-point gap over seventh-placed Derby County, the Cottagers moved nine points clear of the Rams courtesy of a last-gasp victory over Birmingham City.

We say: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Fulham

While both teams head into this contest with the target of boosting their chances of automatic promotion, there will also be a feeling that avoiding defeat will edge them a step nearer to the playoffs. With that in mind, we expect a share of the spoils in the East Midlands.

Brentford vs. Charlton (Tuesday, 6.00pm)

Brentford play host to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday evening knowing that a sixth win in succession will keep them in the hunt for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

As a result of their late defeat at home to Millwall, the Addicks are aware that they may require a victory to avoid dropping into the Championship relegation zone.

We say: Brentford 3-0 Charlton Athletic

Given the manner of their recent victories, we can only back a convincing win for Brentford. While Charlton have performed solidly enough since the resumption, they are unlikely to be able to withstand the attacking threat offered by the Bees.

Luton vs. Barnsley (Tuesday, 6.00pm)

The Championship's bottom two sides face off at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday with time running out for Luton Town and Barnsley to climb out of the relegation zone.

Luton were thrashed 5-0 by Reading on Saturday and are five points from safety, while Barnsley also fell to a heavy loss last time out and are four points off Hull City in 21st.

We say: Luton 2-2 Barnsley

Both teams fell to heavy losses last time out and are now in the last chance saloon. A nervy game can be expected at Kenilworth Road on Tuesday and we are expecting the points to be shared - an outcome that will not suit either side.

Reading vs. Huddersfield (Tuesday, 6.00pm)

Huddersfield Town will be aiming to move another step closer to Championship safety when they face Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Terriers have gone two matches without defeat to move two points and two places above the dropzone, while Reading are six points better off in 14th after a thumping win at the weekend.

We say: Reading 1-1 Huddersfield Town

Reading picked up a big win at the weekend and will be looking to climb the division in their remaining five matches. They have been pretty poor at home this term, however, and we can see Huddersfield snatching a point to boost their own survival hopes.

Cardiff vs. Blackburn (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Cardiff City will be looking to maintain their good form and tighten their grip on sixth place in the Championship when they play host to Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday evening.

The Bluebirds have gone six matches without defeat and are in possession of the final playoff spot, eight points better off than out-of-form Rovers.

We say: Cardiff City 1-0 Blackburn Rovers

Cardiff have momentum on their side heading into the final five games of the Championship season. Blackburn, by comparison, have run out of steam and we are expecting their poor away streak to continue on Tuesday.
