Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk says that his side's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on New Year's Day was "frustrating" after the Seagulls led twice before leaving with a draw.

Brighton & Hove Albion defender Lewis Dunk has said that his side's 2-2 draw with Bournemouth on New Year's Day was "frustrating" after the Seagulls led twice before leaving with a draw.

Steve Cook and Callum Wilson both scored from set pieces after Anthony Knockaert and Glenn Murray had put the hosts in front on two occasions at the Amex Stadium.

Dunk has admitted that Bournemouth's goals were unfortunate to concede after Brighton had focused on defending from set pieces this season.

"We've struggled with set pieces this year and we've tried to work on it, but it keeps happening," the defender told the club's official website. "With the second goal, there seemed to be about 10 deflections before it went in.

"It's frustrating because I thought we were the better side and deserved more. They're the sides around us that we need to beat, especially at home. We didn't quite manage it today, but we go again after the FA Cup next week.

"I thought we were very good, passed the ball well and controlled the game for large spells. They had their spells where they got on top, it's just very frustrating we drew the game and didn't win it."

Brighton face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup next Monday.
