Sheffield United reportedly see a third bid, said to be £1.25m, rejected for Blackburn Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan.

Blackburn Rovers have rejected a third bid from Sheffield United for defender Darragh Lenihan, according to reports.

The 23-year-old centre-back impressed for the Lancastrians last season, despite their relegation to League One.

According to Sky Sports News, the Blades have had a series of offers knocked back, with the latest bid believed to be £1.25m.

The report also suggests that Lenihan, who came through the Rovers academy, wants to remain in the Championship, but Blackburn want to keep him.

Lenihan, who has two years left on his contract at Ewood Park, has nearly 100 league games under his belt, having also spent time on loan at Burton Albion in 2014-15.
