Belgium coach Marc Wilmots says that both Thomas Vermaelen and Eden Hazard will be fit for his team's Euro 2016 opener with Italy on Monday.

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots has brushed off concerns regarding the fitness of Thomas Vermaelen and Eden Hazard.

Chelsea winger Hazard limped out of training on Friday while Vermaelen was considered a doubt earlier this week, but Wilmots has said that both players will be available for their Euro 2016 opener with Italy on Monday night.

Wilmots told reporters: "Thomas has done well in training over the last days and is completely ready for the battle. He has no more problems."

On Hazard, he said: "I don't think it is serious, just a knock."

Belgium will also face Sweden and the Republic of Ireland during the group stage of the 24-team tournament.
