Relive Sports Mole's live coverage as Belgium produce an outstanding performance to see off Hungary at Euro 2016.

Belgium have earned a place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016 with a 4-0 victory over Hungary.

Toby Alderweireld's header put the Red Devils ahead after 10 minutes and they should have put the game beyond Hungary before they finally doubled their lead through Michy Batshuayi.

Eden Hazard netted a third for Belgium with 10 minutes left before Yannick Carrasco capped a brilliant team performance from Belgium with a fourth in added-on time.

7.01pmHello, and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the match between Hungary and Belgium in the knockout stages at Euro 2016.

7.04pmIt has been a hectic weekend of last-16 matches, hasn't it? Since yesterday afternoon, we have got through five of the eight knockout-stage fixtures and we've had quite the mixture of games and results. Italy against Spain and England's showdown with Iceland is still to come tomorrow but tonight, we concentrate on world number two side Belgium as they take on surprise Group F winners Hungary.

7.08pmMany thought that Belgium were going to flatter to deceive at this tournament after their 2-0 defeat to Italy on Matchday One but since that game, they have been excellent and must be considered as the favourites to reach the final from the top half of the draw. Hungary will no doubt have something to say about that but Marc Wilmot's side have a real opportunity to make their mark in an international tournament.

7.09pmAnyway, without further ado, let's take a look at the two starting lineups from Toulouse.

7.11pmBELGIUM XI: Courtois, Meunier, Alderweireld, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Witsel, Nainggolan, De Bruyne, Mertens, Hazard, Lukaku

7.12pmHUNGARY XI: Kiraly, Juhasz, Lang, Guzmics, Kadar, Gera, Kleinheisler, Dzsudzsak, Nagy, Lovrencsics, Szalai

7.16pmBelgium have made just one alteration to the team that saw off Sweden on Wednesday evening with Dries Mertens being preferred on the wing to Yannick Ferreira Carrasco. As expected, Romelu Lukaku continues to lead the line instead of Divock Origi and Christian Benteke while Thomas Meunier keeps his place at right-back.

7.20pmAs for Hungary, boss Bernd Storck brings back each of the four players who started their 3-3 draw with Portugal on the bench due to their risk of a yellow card that would have kept them out of this match. The likes of Adam Nagy, Laszlo Kleinheisler and Tamas Kadar all return with Adam Szalai remains in attack ahead of Tamas Priskin.

7.23pmRESULT! Around 30 minutes ago, Germany sealed their place in the last eight with a routine 3-0 victory over Slovakia. You can read a full report from that match by clicking here.

7.27pmHEAD TO HEAD! There have been 12 previous meetings between the two nations with Belgium prevailing on eight occasions and Hungary winning just twice. However, there has been just one fixture between the teams since 1994, which came in 2009 when Belgium won 3-0. They also played each other at the 1972 European Championship, where Belgium ran out 2-1 victors.

7.31pmWe've still got 30 minutes to go until kickoff in Toulouse so that means you have got plenty of time to catch up with all the match reports, reaction and build-up from the games that have taken place or will take place in France. You can reach all that by clicking here.

7.35pmSTAT! You're probably aware that Belgium have been unsuccessful on the international stage for some time now but the stats read that this is their first appearance in the knockout stages of the European Championship since 1980, the year when they finished as runners-up. Could lightning strike twice in France?

7.40pmWhile we are assessing Belgium, one stat sticks out in comparison to most of the other nations at Euro 2016. Wilmots has not selected an outfield player over the age of 30, with third-choice goalkeeper Jean-Francois Gillet the only member of the squad who is coming to the end of this career. There's no doubting that this group of players have the potential to rule Europe - and perhaps the world - if they lift the trophy in Paris on July 10 and given their place in the draw, it is difficult to back against them.

7.46pmBefore we head on to my prediction for tonight's match, let's take a look at Hungary. No-one would have backed them to top a group including both Portugal and Austria but they've built on the belief generated from their 2-0 win over Austria on Matchday One and started to look a decent outside bet to go deep in this tournament. There were positives and negatives to take from the 3-3 draw with Portugal on Wednesday afternoon but they are playing to their strengths and if skipper Balazs Dzsudzsak is on form, there's no reason why they cannot take it to Belgium who will be wary of the fact that four of Hungary's six goals in this competition have either been from outside of the box or being efforts from the top drawer.

7.50pmPREDICTION! While we expect Hungary to produce yet another solid performance this evening, we are predicting that we'll see more of the Belgium that eased past Republic of Ireland than who played so poorly against Italy. It may be competitive at the start but if Belgium take the lead, expect a comfortable night for Wilmots's men. Belgium to win 3-1.

7.55pmThe winners of this tie will face Wales, who are another of the smaller nation who have impressed in this tournament. That tie will take place in Lille on Friday.

7.57pmThe two teams have made their way onto the pitch at the Stadium Municipal. We will be underway very shortly!

1 minBelgium get us underway in Toulouse.

3 minBoth teams have had an equal share of possession over the opening three minutes but no chances to speak of so far. The twom sets of supporters are in fine voice.

4 minSHOT! De Bruyne has been very lively for Belgium and he gets the first shot on goal of the match, although it's never threatening Kiraly's top corner as the ball flies into the stands.

6 minCHANCE! The Hungary defence could have their work cut out this evening. After Lukaku fails to connect with a Hazard cross, he makes no such error when receiving a delivery from De Bruyne, but the Everton forward sees his close-range effort blocked by a defender.

7 minSHOT! More delightful play from De Bruyne ends with the Manchester City playmaker trying to fire the ball into the bottom corner from 20 yards but he gets no zip off the surface and Kiraly makes the easy save.

10 minGOAL! Hungary 0-1 Belgium (Alderweireld)

10 minIt had been coming! After a free kick was awarded on the left, De Bruyne whipped in the perfect delivery for Alderweireld to power a header past Kiraly. Hungary haven't been at the races so far.

14 minWe still have 75 minutes remaining in this match but if Belgium get a second before the break, you'd have to think that this game is as good as over. Belgium look very, very good.

17 minCHANCE! Belgium actually look like the second best team in the world this evening. A quite stunning through ball from Lukaku - with his weaker foot - finds the run of De Bruyne but with the angle against him, his shot is comfortably saved by Kiraly.

20 minEven Vertonghen is getting in on the act as far as turns and crosses are concerned. A drilled pass finds Lukaku, who controls the ball excellently and tees up Alderweireld but the defender's 30-yard strike is sent into orbit and has only just returned.

24 minSHOT! We've seen nothing of Dzsudzsak so far but he finally makes an impact to some extent with a 20-yard drive but it lacks the pace to trouble Courtois. Better from Hungary, though.

27 minBelgium are still producing the quick passes that were doing the damage in the first 20 minutes but Hungary have settled into some kind of rhythm. It's not one that is creating chances for their attackers but they have overcome the uneasiness that was present in their play.

30 minCHANCE! Lukaku isn't known for his finesse but he is linking up play brilliantly this evening. The forward just floated a delicate ball over the defence for De Bruyne but it was difficult for the midfielder to get any pace on his header and it went straight at Kiraly.

34 minMore outstanding play for Hazard sees the Chelsea playmaker set up Mertens and he is quickly upended by Kadar who gives Belgium a chance to shoot from 20 yards out...

35 minWOODWORK! How old is Kiraly again? The 40-year-old has just pulled off one of the saves of the tournament to tip De Bruyne's free kick onto the crossbar. The veteran stopper is clutching his finger. His reaction suggested a possible dislocation but he seems fine to continue.

38 minCHANCE! There's such a good understanding between De Bruyne and Lukaku. The Everton forward again finds the run of his teammate but the ball is a little too close to the defender and he half-blocks the shot which is straight at Kiraly.

39 minSHOT! What a strike! It's from a Hungary player though. Lovrencsics has got everything behind a fierce effort from 25 yards but it clears the bar by no more than a yard. Courtois would have struggled to save that had it been on target.

41 minSHOT! Now Dzsudzsak tries his luck from outside the penalty area and his low shot just misses the bottom corner. Hungary proving that they will always carry a threat if this game remains at 1-0.

42 minCHANCE! This is such an entertaining game. More wizardly from Hazard gives the Chelsea man the space to play in Mertens but Kiraly is equal to the winger's well-struck strike.

45 minHALF TIME: Hungary 0-1 Belgium

8.47pmEveryone take a breath! The half-time whistle goes in Toulouse and Belgium lead thanks to Alderweireld's header. It's been a marvellous game and with Hungary needing to throw men forward, I expect more of the same in the second half.

46 minAkos Elek is on for Zoltan Gera, who struggled with the pace of the game in the first half. Hungary get us back underway.

46 minSAVE! Less than a minute into the second half we've already had a first chance. Hazard weaves his way back onto his right foot before unleashing a powerful drive towards the top corner but Kiraly is there to pull off yet another high-quality save.

50 minBelgium look intent on wrapping up this game as soon as possible but Hungary are doing enough to suggest that they should not be taken easily. Szalai just got played in down the right of the penalty area but the angle is too tight and it clears the bar at the near post.

52 minManchester City boss Pep Guardiola must be watching this and getting tempted to make a bid for Lukaku because his link-up with De Bruyne is almost telepathic. The playmaker receives the ball from Lukaku just inside the penalty area but his shot is always heading wide of the far post.

54 minCHANCE! Back come Hungary through their skipper Dzsudzsak who finds Szalai in the penalty area but the striker's header is deflected wide of the post by Alderweireld.

58 minSzalai only has one goal to his name over the last 18 months but he is unsettling the Belgian defence. He's an important part of this Hungarian side.

59 minCHANCE! Vertonghen probably doesn't favour his role at left-back but a cross into the middle almost produces a goal. Lukaku missed his flick, while Mertens couldn't make a proper connection behind the Everton forward.

61 minBelgium have stepped it up a notch over the last few minutes and Hungary are struggling to cope. Hazard has come to life again and the defence look terrified.

65 minSzalai seemingly wins a corner off a Belgian defender but the official behind the goal decides otherwise. It's a clear deflection but his appeals fall on deaf ears. Shocking from the official behind the goal.

66 minSHOT! Hungary nearly make up for that disappointment with an equaliser but Courtois flies through the air to tip a deflected effort from Pinter over the bar.

68 minSHOT! Hungary are starting to knock on the door. A free kick from Dzsudzsak finds centre-back Juhasz at the back post but the defender's half-volley across the six-yard area narrowly misses the far post. A little less pace and Szalai would have tapped home.

70 minSUBSTITUTION! Yannick Carrasco was dropped for this game but he has been introduced in place of Mertens.

74 minBelgium are still pushing for a second but it is leaving them susceptible to a counter-attack from Hungary and they nearly pay the price as Dzsudzsak escapes his marker down the left. However, the national team captain cannot find anyone in the penalty area and the opening is wasted.

76 minSUBSTITUTION! This is interesting. Michy Batshuayi is coming on for Lukaku. First appearance at this tournament for the Marseille man.

78 minGOAL! Hungary 0-2 Belgium (Batshuayi)

80 minGOAL! Hungary 0-3 Belgium (Hazard)

80 minWell that's most certainly game over. With what I think is his first touch, Batshuayi taps home from inside the six-yard area after being found by a cross from Hazard. Two minutes later, Hazard turned goalscorer with a wonderful individual effort, cutting inside onto his right foot before curling a shot into the bottom corner form 20 yards. This has been hugely impressive from Belgium.

86 minThere's still plenty taking place on the pitch in Toulouse but the Belgian fans are focused on singing songs - their team are three games away from Euro 2016 glory and based on this performance, they have every chance.

91 minGOAL! Hungary 0-4 Belgium (Carrasco)

91 minIt's harsh on Hungary but ruthless from Belgium. Nainggolan plays in Carrasco and the Atletico Madrid winger slides the ball past Kiraly. That is that.

9.49pmFULL TIME: Hungary 0-4 Belgium

9.55pmThe full-time whistle goes in Toulose and Belgium seal their place in the last eight with one of the performances of the tournament. Hungary were limited opposition but they had no answer to a quite outstanding showing from the Red Devils.

9.56pmThat will be all from Sports Mole for this match. Thank you for joining us and we hope to see you again tomorrow for the remaining two last-16 ties. Goodbye for now.
