"Impatient" Arjen Robben hints at Bayern Munich exit

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben confesses that he is unsure whether he will stay on at the Allianz Arena for another season once his contract expires in the summer.

Arjen Robben has hinted that he may consider leaving Bayern Munich once his contract expires at the end of the campaign after growing "impatient" in talks over a new deal.

Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed last week that a new contract will likely be offered to the Dutch winger in the summer, as well as fellow long-serving midfielder Franck Ribery.

Robben has yet to decide whether he will stay on for another campaign, however, and could now bring an end to a trophy-laden spell with the Bavarians which spans nine seasons.

"I'm a bit impatient, but unfortunately a decision on the extension of my contract has not yet happened," he told BR Sport. "With Karl-Heinz Rummenigge I have agreed that we will hold talks in April, then we will see.

"I think that's the hardest part of getting into an age where you know, the end is coming closer, making the right decision is always, always difficult.

"I just have to wait and see what the gut feeling is like, how the body feels – everything you take with you, and then you make that decision in the moment."

Robben has five assists and four goals in 18 Bundesliga outings this term, with 16 of those appearances being starts.
