Midfielder Arturo Vidal says that Bayern Munich are not scared of facing any of the top teams in the last eight of the Champions League.

Midfielder Arturo Vidal has claimed that it would be "something special" if Bayern Munich face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Bayern are currently preparing to play Besiktas in the second leg of their last-16 tie but with a 5-0 advantage from the first fixture, the German giants are already looking forward to bigger tests.

Vidal has said that Bayern are not scared of playing any of the remaining teams in the competition, but the Chilean international has given consideration to a reunion with Pep Guardiola, the club's former boss who now manages Premier League leaders City.

The 30-year-old told the official Bundesliga website: "That would be something great, something special. The teams resemble each other in their way of playing. We're not afraid of any opponent, that's the most important thing.

"Barcelona and Real Madrid are always among the contenders, and Manchester City are playing well this year. Liverpool have also impressed me. If we reach the quarter-finals, which I think we will, there won't be an easy opponent. But we have a strong team that can stand up to any opponent."

Bayern have won 16 of their last 17 matches in all competitions.
