Bayer Leverkusen are willing to "wait a little" before selling in-demand striker Javier Hernandez, according to sporting director Rudi Voller.

Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller has suggested that the club would be willing to sell Javier Hernandez this summer after receiving numerous enquiries.

The Mexico international has scored 39 goals in 76 outings in his two seasons with the German club and is said to be high on the transfer list of a number of English clubs.

Reports emerged on Monday suggesting that West Ham United are close to finalising a deal for Hernandez, and Voller admits that cashing in on the former Manchester United striker - who has a year to run on his current contract - is an option.

"He's interesting to many parties because of his quality," he told Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung. "We often receive enquiries. We can wait a little. Something can happen later on."

Voller ruled out selling goalkeeper Bernd Leno, however, following talk earlier this year of a switch to European champions Real Madrid.
