A report claims that Valencia want to sign Barcelona midfielder Alex Song in this summer's transfer window.

Valencia are reportedly interested in signing unwanted Cameroon midfielder Alex Song in this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old is still contracted to Barcelona, but has not represented the Spanish champions since the 2013-14 campaign, spending the last two seasons on loan at Premier League side West Ham United.

As it stands, Song is due back at Barcelona for pre-season training next month, but according to Mundo Deportivo, Valencia are preparing a move for the former Arsenal defensive midfielder.

It is understood that Barcelona value Song, who has two years left to run on his current deal, in the region of £8m.
