A report claims that Barcelona could sell Croatian teenager Alen Halilovic to the highest bidder next summer.

Barcelona could reportedly sell Alen Halilovic next summer in a bid to raise funds for new players, despite the Croatian's impressive form for Sporting Gijon.

The 19-year-old joined Barcelona from Dinamo Zagreb in 2014, but he has still not made his first-team league debut for the Catalan club and was sent on loan to Sporting at the start of the 2015-16 campaign.

It had been thought that the midfielder would return to the squad for the 2016-17 season, but according to Sport, Barcelona would be prepared to sanction a move because he is not in their 'near-future' plans.

The same report, however, claims that a buy-back clause will be inserted similar to those in the recent sales of Gerard Deulofeu and Adama Traore.

Halilovic has scored twice for Sporting in the league this season.
