Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt decides to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future, according to a report.

Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt has reportedly decided to wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future.

De Ligt has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona, with the Catalan giants said to head a list of interested parties which also includes Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Barca have reportedly already agreed a deal for the 19-year-old, but according to Sport, the Netherlands international will wait until this summer to decide where he will play his football next season.

De Ligt made his debut for Ajax in 2016 and has since turned out on more than 100 occasions for the Dutch giants, scoring 11 times in the process.

As well as featuring in the semi-finals of the Champions League, Ajax are chasing Eredivisie glory and currently sit level on points with PSV Eindhoven at the top of the division.
