Brazilian full-back Adriano commits his future to Barcelona by signing a new contract until the summer of 2017.

Barcelona have announced that Adriano has agreed a contract extension.

The 31-year-old's previous deal at Camp Nou had been due to expire at the end of the current season.

However, the full-back has now committed his future to the Catalans by a further 12 months.

A statement on the Spanish club's official website read: "FC Barcelona are delighted with the player's decision."

Adriano joined Barca from Sevilla for around £10m in 2010 and he has gone on to make almost 200 appearances, scoring 17 goals in the process.
