The Spanish giants, who were seeking their third win at this showpiece event, led 1-0 at the interval of a feisty match courtesy of a close-range finish from Lionel Messi.
Luis Suarez then scored his fourth goal of the competition early in the second half for 2-0, before the Uruguay international added another to put the game to bed in the 68th minute.
