AZ move up to tenth in the Eredivisie table with a 2-0 victory over Vitesse, who were reduced to ten men following a first-half red card shown to Marvelous Nakamba.

AZ have recorded a 2-0 victory away to Vitesse, who had Marvelous Nakamba sent off before the close of the first half.

The red card for Nakamba was the only notable event in a quiet first half at the GelreDome.

The Zimbabwean midfielder saw yellow after 14 minutes, before being sent off for a second bookable offence in the 42nd minute.

It took AZ until the 75th minute of the tie to capitalise on their numerical advantage, as Marcus Henriksen played through Vincent Janssen, who fired in the opener.

Henriksen then made sure of the victory by slotting home after a shot had ricocheted off Vitesse keeper Eloy Room.

The win sees AZ move up to 10th in the Eredivisie table, while Vitesse remain in fifth.
