Thomas Muller is left out of Bayern Munich's starting lineup in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid.

Thomas Muller has been left out of Bayern Munich's starting lineup for tonight's Champions League semi-final first leg against Atletico Madrid.

The German forward only makes the bench as Pep Guardiola makes six changes to his starting lineup from Saturday's 2-0 Bundesliga win at Hertha Berlin.

Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer is the only player in the backline to keep his place as a new back four is brought in.

Further forward, Robert Lewandowski leads the line and the Pole will be flanked by Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa.

The hosts, meanwhile, show just two changes from their 1-0 win over Malaga at the weekend.

In come Stefan Savic and Augusto Fernandez for Lucas Hernandez and Yannick Carrasco, with Antoine Griezmann and Fernando Torres leading the line.

Atletico Madrid: Oblak; Juanfran, Gimenez, Savic, Filipe Luis; Gabi, Augusto, Koke, Saul; Griezmann, Torres
Subs: Moya, Gamez, Lucas, Oliver, Partey, Correa, Vietto

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Lahm, Martinez, Alaba, Bernat; Alonso, Vidal, Thiago; Costa, Coman; Lewandowski
Subs: Ulreich, Tasci, Benatia, Ribery, Gotze, Muller, Kimmich
