How Juventus could line up against Atletico Madrid

Ahead of Wednesday's Champions League fixture between Atletico Madrid and Juventus, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up at Wanda Metropolitano.

Juventus get their 2019-20 Champions League campaign underway with a mouthwatering showdown with Atletico Madrid.

These two clubs went up against each other in the last 16 at the beginning of 2019, with Juventus overturning a two-goal, first-leg deficit to progress further in the competition.

The Italian champions have recorded seven points from their opening three Serie A fixtures, although they were held to a goalless draw by Fiorentina at the weekend.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Juventus may line up for the meeting with the La Liga outfit.

Out: Giorgio Chiellini (knee), Mattia Perin (shoulder), Marko Pjaca (knee), Mattia De Sciglio (arm)
Doubtful: Douglas Costa (thigh), Miralem Pjanic (hamstring), Danilo (muscle)

Maurizio Sarri is currently contending with a growing injury list at Juventus after three more players picked up issues at the weekend.

Douglas Costa and Miralem Pjanic were each withdrawn during the first half against Fiorentina with thigh and hamstring problems, while Danilo had cramp shortly after the hour mark.

The short turnaround puts Sarri in a position where he may have to make changes, with Juan Cuadrado, Adrien Rabiot and Federico Bernardeschi all in contention to feature at Wanda Metropolitano.

Aaron Ramsey will also hope to be provided with some game time as he continues to wait for an opportunity since leaving Arsenal for Turin.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to partner Gonzalo Higuain, which would again leave Paulo Dybala on the substitutes' bench.
