Aston Villa have reportedly expressed an interest in signing Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen.
It is believed that the Bhoys are keen for the Norwegian to remain at Parkhead.
However, with the 25-year-old having just 18 months left to run on his contract in Glasgow, Villa are prepared to test Celtic's resolve by lodging a £5m bid, according to The Scottish Sun.
Johansen, who was voted the club's Player of the Season last term, arrived in Scotland from Stromsgodset in January 2014 in a £2m deal.
