Laurent Koscielny's representatives will reportedly meet with Arsenal for showdown talks this week following the defender's refusal to take part in the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
Arsenal have decided to dock Koscielny's wages after it was confirmed by the club last week that the captain had refused to travel to Los Angeles.
The Frenchman still has a year left on his current contract, but nonetheless feels he should be allowed to leave the club on a free transfer.
According to L'Equipe, Koscielny's lawyers and the club will hold meetings this week after the decision was made to dock the player's wages.
A return to Ligue 1 for Koscielny had been suggested, with reports claiming that Bordeaux and Rennes are interested in securing his signature.
Olivier Giroud, former Arsenal striker and friend of Koscielny, recently defended his fellow countryman's decision, noting that the 33-year-old was "very hurt" by the conflict with the Gunners.
