Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is reportedly attracting interest from three clubs in Italy as he nears an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is reportedly the subject of interest from three clubs in Italy.

Jenkinson is deemed surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium and Arsene Wenger is willing to sell the right-back before the end of the transfer window.

Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Swansea City have all been linked with the 25-year-old, but it appears that approaches could be made by clubs competing in Serie A.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Cagliari Calcio, Sassuolo and Hellas Verona have all emerged as possible destinations for a player who has been contracted to the Gunners since 2011.

During that time, 62 appearances have been made in all competitions, although Jenkinson was not used during the second half of the most recent campaign.

Cagliari and Sassuolo finished in the bottom half of the standings last season, while Verona won promotion from Serie B.
