Arsenal reportedly turn down a £10.9m bid from Deportivo La Coruna to re-sign Spanish striker Lucas Perez.

Arsenal have reportedly rejected a £10.9m bid from Deportivo La Coruna to re-sign striker Lucas Perez.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners last summer for £12.7m but has so far failed to earn a consistent role in Arsene Wenger's plans.

In addition, he was not part of their 18-man squad for the Premier League opening-day 4-3 win against Leicester City on Friday.

Perez's agent, Rogrigo Fernandez Lovelle, claimed on Monday morning that the offer his ex-club has made is a "great deal" for Arsenal.

According to The Sun, however, the Gunners have turned the deal down as they are eager to recoup the full fee they paid Depor for the forward.

Perez played in only 11 Premier League games last season, starting just two of those.
