Agent confirms Philippe Coutinho would "love" Premier League return

Former Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho would be interested in returning to the Premier League, according to representative Kia Joorabchian.

Philippe Coutinho's representative Kia Joorabchian has revealed that the on-loan Bayern Munich midfielder would "love" to return to the Premier League.

Coutinho has spent 2019-20 at the Allianz Arena after struggling to adapt in his season-and-half spell with parent club Barcelona, where he remains under contract until 2023.

The Brazil international performed far better during his previous stint in English football with Liverpool, scoring and assisting a combined 76 league goals in six seasons at Anfield.

A return to the Premier League is rumoured to be in the offing, with Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal all believed to have shown an interest.

Arsenal fan Joorabchian has confirmed that a move back to England is on the cards, but he will not have a say in which club Coutinho joins.

"The fact I'm an Arsenal supporter is not a secret," he told Sky Sports News. "I don't have any preference where the players go.

"I don't try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility.

"After the Champions League game he played in England we had a long chat about it. The Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.

"The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic."

Coutinho contributed to nine goals in 32 matches for Bayern prior to the suspension of the Bundesliga due to the coronavirus pandemic.
