How West Ham United could line up against Arsenal

Sports Mole looks at how relegation-threatened West Ham United could line up for Saturday's Premier League London derby against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

West Ham United will be looking to build on their crucial 3-1 victory over Southampton when they make the short trip to North London to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

David Moyes's side ended an eight-game winless streak across all competitions to pick up their first league victory since New Year's Day, lifting themselves out of the relegation zone on goal difference in the process.

However, they have not won back-to-back league games since August and now enter a spell which sees them face London rivals Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in three of their next four games.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Hammers could line up for the first of those derbies.

Possible WHU XI vs. ARS

Out: Tomas Soucek (hip), Ryan Fredericks (shoulder), Jack Wilshere (pelvis)
Doubtful: Andriy Yarmolenko (thigh)

With no new injury concerns from last weekend's victory over the Saints, Moyes's biggest decision may be whether to stick or twist for what is sure to be a more testing game away to a 'big six' club.

The Scot usually prefers to have Michail Antonio leading the line in such matches due to his pace and powerful running on the counter-attack, which could mean that Sebastien Haller has to make do with a place on the bench despite scoring last time out.

Felipe Anderson could replace Haller, but other changes are likely to be kept to a minimum as Moyes looks to stick with a winning formula.

Jarrod Bowen will hope that his goal and man-of-the-match display on his full debut for the club is enough to earn him another start, although Robert Snodgrass's work rate will also rank highly in Moyes's thinking for a game where they are expected to cede the lion's share of possession.

The injury to January arrival Tomas Soucek means that Pablo Fornals is likely to start again with Mark Noble in a deeper role alongside Declan Rice.

There are unlikely to be any changes in defence either, which means another start for 19-year-old Jeremy Ngakia at right-back.
