Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that "nobody is more frustrated" than himself and his team amid reports of a fan protest this weekend.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that "nobody is more frustrated" than he and his players about how their season has panned out.

The Gunners were Premier League title contenders in the first half of the season, but they eventually dropped out of contention and now find themselves fourth in the table, 12 points behind leaders Leicester City with three games left to play.

Wenger and his men were also knocked out of the Champions League and FA Cup, which has sparked plenty of unrest among the supporters.

It is believed that a group of fans will stage a protest at the Emirates on Saturday when Arsenal take on Norwich City.

"It is very frustrating as we were in the position for a long, long time to compete for the title," Wenger told reporters on Friday. "We won the FA Cup twice and the Community Shield and wanted to go one step up and win the league and that is why we are frustrated.

"I can understand the frustration because nobody is more frustrated than we are. Our disappointment has not to go too far."

Wenger has also suggested that playing in a "difficult climate" at home contributed to their demise in the title race.
