Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits that he worries for the club's identity but believes that Mikel Arteta can restore the culture to the Emirates.

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is concerned about the club's identity.

The Frenchman stepped down from the Gunners post in 2018 having won three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups in North London.

Wenger's successor Unai Emery lasted 18 months before being replaced by Mikel Arteta, but Wenger is optimistic about the Spaniard's ability to restore the club's culture.

Speaking to talkSPORT, the Frenchman said: "I worry about the club still a lot and I watch all of the games.

"I believe there is a culture in the way to play football at Arsenal that I want to be respected. And I hope Mikel can get that back."

Arsenal currently sit ninth in the table amid the coronavirus postponement.
