Eddie Nketiah says that he feels "very privileged" to hear Arsenal supporters chant his name after marking his home debut with a couple of goals against Norwich City.

Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah has admitted that he is determined to push on from his goalscoring heroics against Norwich City after marking his home debut with a decisive brace.

The England Under-19s international was turned to with six minutes of the EFL Cup tie left to play at the Emirates Stadium, taking over from Reiss Nelson with his side a goal down.

Nketiah converted from his first touch and then won the match for his side with a header in extra time, leading to much adulation from supporters inside the ground and kind words from manager Arsene Wenger.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the match, the young forward said: "I'm just delighted to make my home debut and score two goals to win the game for Arsenal. It's a great feeling for me and my family.

"To hear the fans screaming my name, it's been a childhood dream for me. Hopefully it's just the start and you will see many more goals and better performances from me.

"It made me feel very privileged to be welcomed by the fans. It's a dream come true. I just want to continue impressing the fans and making them happy because they mean a lot to the club and to me."

Nketiah, who spent time in Chelsea's academy setup before being released at the age of 14, had made just one senior appearance for Arsenal prior to Tuesday night.
